As an architect and designer, one of my favorite parts of the job is rendering. While I have skills and techniques in other areas of design, I enjoy the artistic play that can be found in rendering. The development of a building’s conception can be evinced in a rendering — detailing the construction, the aesthetic, the form, and the methodology in one compelling image. There is strength in utilizing a variety of styles to send a particular message to the viewer and the client. Photorealism can help ground the concept in reality, while linework can relate more of the design intent to viewers.
